Main Lodge
The Boyes Lodge, our main dining hall, is a place to relax, complete with a stone fireplace, coffee/tea station, Muskoka chairs, and a large deck for enjoying the natural surroundings.
The Lodge is also our dining hall. Meals are all served buffet style and seating is assigned by shared cabin groups.
While we prepare each table with tablecloths and décor, we have found that over the years many people have initiated their own table theme and decorated their space for the weekend. This is not expected or mandatory but participants are certainly welcome to join in the fun and decorate their table as they wish. (table decorations, themes, costumes).
Note that candles are not permitted in our lodge due to fire hazards. Battery-operated candles are welcome.
"As an organizer, I know how much work goes into putting on one event, let alone an entire weekend of activities - my socks were knocked off at how smooth the Women's Weekend was, and how relaxed and pleasant your staff were. I was impressed with how on time meals were, not to mention how delicious the menu was! The Lodge was such a great community space, and I loved that there wasn't any pressure to participate in any one thing. The mood was perfect for welcoming my favourite autumnal season."
First Time Participant"The Women’s Weekend was absolutely amazing! My friends and I had such a great time and the programming was fantastic. The yoga/meditation teacher was a highlight - I told her this as well. The staff work so hard and tirelessly all summer - its so amazing to see that they continue this into the fall programming. We were also blessed with fantastic weather. I am so grateful to be part of this community and wanted to let you know what a great experience it was for us!"
Women's Weekend Participant"Amazing food and staff. Once my parents saw my personal growth after returning from a month here, they wouldn't imagine sending me anywhere else. I returned to them, happier, healthier, and full of positive memories and experiences to tell them about."
Camper"I wanted to thank you for creating the most beautiful place and community on earth and giving me things like my best friends and so many valuable life lessons. I hope I am able to work at Camp over the years as I truly love Camp and it will always be apart of my life."
Camper"Congratulations on another season of Camp that was filled with personal growth, wonder, and accomplishments for hundreds of children, teenagers, young adults, and young at heart adults. Camp holds a special place in your heart that never leaves. I appreciate the commitment of you as Directors to help shape the mission of Camp Wenonah and set the expectations for your staff and the campers. This is not and easy task but you do it with style, fun, and respect."
Camper Parent"Each of your leadership staff from ROOTS, WCIT and POLARIS have a profound effect on campers. Your willingness to listen, to have empathy, to give support is heartfelt by the camper and it doesn't end at Camp. It comes back to our home; we as parents are incredibly grateful. You do a fantastic job of trying to manage the balance of dealing with mental health issues, creating cohesiveness within groups, and making it all a great experience for everyone. Your ability to support teens and let them feel safe at Camp gives them strength to face their challenges."
Camper Parent“I spoke with Camp during the 48 hour call. From the conversation, my son is having a great time and adjusted really well & quickly to the Camp Wenonah environment. I was so thrilled to hear that. My son is a really sweet kid who makes the most of every situation – I hope all the boys are having just an awesome time at Camp. I’m hoping that this will be the first year of many to come. Camp is a quintessential Canadian experience of the outdoors, of friendship and of learning. Love it! Wenonah’s values really resonated with us as a family. It is a bit of a leap of faith to entrust your kids but one we felt really good about.”
